Magic of Lemons !!

God has gifted us, varieties of fruits and vegetables that adds new color to our daily life . One of them is Lemon.

Their are lots of qualities hidden in such a small yellowish fruit. I was really impressed with the fascinating powers of lemon, so decided to write on it and to share with you also.

Shine your Bottles
If reusable plastic bottles turn dull, fill them with water, add a few drops of lemon juice, shake it well, and let it stand for 15 minutes. Wash with soapy water and see your bottles will shine.

To Clean the inside of an Oven
If you want to clean your oven safely and easily at home, then take 1/2 cup of soda bicarbonate, squeeze juice from couple of lemons, add sufficient water to make a paste. apply it to the inner walls of the oven. Run the oven on low heat for 10 minutes then turn it off. Let the oven cool and scrub off the paste for a clean shining surface.

OR

Add few slices of lemon to a bowl of water, boil this water till steam is produced. Remove the bowl and wipe interior with damp cloth. Residue of food and stains will wipe out easily.

Shining the Teeth's
For the white shine of your teeth, take some salt in the palm of your hand, squeeze enough lemon juice to make it wet. Use your fingers to apply this paste on your teeth and rub for a few minutes. Yellow stains will vanish. This paste can also be used with a tooth brush on regular basis and is boon for cigarette smokers and pan-eaters.

To get clear and transparent Syrup
While you are making sugar syrup for sweets or drinks, add a few drops of lemon juice to boiling sugar water. Discard the scum. You will get a clear and transparent syrup.

For Sparkling Gleam
When you hand wash delicate glassware and crystal ware add lemon drops and peel to the last rinsing water for a sparkling gleam.

To shine the Brassware
To shine the brassware, make a solution of flour, salt, vinegar or lemon juice. Apply this paste on the brass for 10 minutes and then wash it off.

Lightens your Skin
If your skin is rough, add few drops of lemon juice to thick curd, use it to gently scrub your face and hands but don't use it on pimples, wash off after 15 minutes. Doing this about for 2 or 3 weeks will lighten your skin to a great extent.

Remove Foul Odour
A paste of orange or lemon peel with water kept inside the fridge will ward off foul odour. Liquidize orange peel, add water and keep in a small bowl.

Refresh your Body
In hot summer season, when body excretes lots of sweat, to fulfill the exhausted minerals take a glass of cold water, add a lemon and a table spoon of salt in it, shake it well and chill it. It will fulfill your requirements.

To Shine your Hairs
In order to get a shiny look of your hairs, add some lemons to curd, make a paste and shake it well. Apply this paste on your hairs for 15 to 20 minutes and wash it with a good shampoo, it will improve your hairs look.

Tips to Save & Store Lemons

Tip 1:- If only few drops of lemon are needed, don't cut the whole lemon, pierce it with a toothpick and squeeze. A few drops will trickle out and the lemon will remain fresh till required.

Tip 2:- When lemons are in season and cheaply available, buy in bulk. Heat for a while in a microwave. This will make them juicer. Squeeze juice and pour into ice cube containers. when the juice freeze, remove the ice cubes from container and keep them in plastic bags. Now you can have fresh lime through out the year.
