Google Innovation stands on 1 Day per Week work of Engineers !!

What the Google is all today is the combine effort of only one day per week work of Google engineers.

Google has separated some of its time for only innovation techniques. As a motivation technique (usually called Innovation Time Off), in that technique all Google engineers are encouraged to spend 20% of their work time (one day per week) on projects that creates a special interest for them.

Some of Google's newer services innovated, such as Gmail, Google News, Orkut, and AdSense originated from this one day per week work of engineers.
In a talk at Stanford University, Marissa Mayer, Google's Vice President of Search Products and User Experience, stated that her analysis showed that 50% of the new product launches originated from the 20% time.

Google also entered into a partnership with Sun Microsystems in October to share and distribute each other's technologies.
Google entered into a partnership with AOL of Time Warner to enhance video search services.

Advertising
Google derives its 99% of revenue from its advertising programs. In 2006 fiscal year, Google earned $10.492 billion through its advertising programs and only $112 million through licensing and other.

Google's earn its most of revenue through displaying adds by addsense program that allows website owners to display adverts on their own sites, and earn money every time ads are clicked.

Another key innovation of Google is AdWords that allows Web advertisers to display advertisements in Google's search results and the Google Content Network, through either a cost-per-click or cost-per-view scheme.

Azhar and Rubina the kids who shot to international fame and recognition after appearing in the Danny Boyle-directed, Oscar-winning biopic Slumdog Millionaire, will now be seen in musical (movie)Lord Owen,s Lady, that will shot sometime around next year in Cardiff and in India.

Mark Weatherbe has been signed as the project director, whereas Sir Antony Hopkins and Anupum Kher are being pursued to play two of the major parts in the film.

A sad thing that happened recently was the Azhar’s father died in the first week of September just after officially allowing his son to take part in the film.
