Let me tell you about Google !!

Google is an American public corporation, which is earning its most revenue from advertising (AdWords), Internet search (search engine), e-mail (G-mail), online mapping (Google maps), office productivity (Google Applications), social networking site (Orkut), and video sharing (YouTube).

Google has developed a new advancement in the world of web browsers called as Google chrome.

Google Headquarters
The Google headquarters, known as the Googleplex, is located in Mountain View, California. According to the calculation of March 31, 2009 (2009 -03-31)
, the company has 19,786 full-time employees. Google is running millions of servers worldwide that process hundreds of millions of search requests each day.
Founders
Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, they were students at Stanford University. Google was first incorporated as a private company on September 4, 1998. Google’s initial public offering took place on August 19, 2004, raising 1.67 billion dollars that creates the value for the entire corporation of 23 billion dollars.

Google has lifted its growth through a series of new product developments, acquisitions, and its strong partnerships. Environmentalism and positive employee relations played important role in the growth of Google.

Mission
Google's is taking its hold strong in completing its mission "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful".

Partnerships
Google started its partnerships with other companies and government agencies in 2005 to improve production and services. Google entered in partnership with NASA Ames Research Center, the aim was to build up 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2) of offices and work on research projects.

Google also entered into a partnership with Sun Microsystems in October to share and distribute each other's technologies.
Google entered into a partnership with AOL of Time Warner to enhance video search services.

Advertising
Google derives its 99% of revenue from its advertising programs. In 2006 fiscal year, Google earned $10.492 billion through its advertising programs and only $112 million through licensing and other.
Google's earn its most of revenue through displaying adds by addsense program that allows website owners to display adverts on their own sites, and earn money every time ads are clicked.

Another key innovation of Google is AdWords that allows Web advertisers to display advertisements in Google's search results and the Google Content Network, through either a cost-per-click or cost-per-view scheme.
